Mainmark achieves ISO certification in accordance with new standards

Mainmark is proud to be one of the first companies to be certified to the new (2015) versions of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Only a handful of companies have achieved accreditation to the 2015 standard, making this a particularly noteworthy achievement.

Mainmark is certified to:

  • ISO14001:2015 Environment Management
  • ISO9001:2015 Quality Management
  • AS/NZS4801:2008 Occupational Health and Safety Management

Gaining these certifications was a key initiative under Mainmark’s 2020 Vision, demonstrating our commitment to delivering state of the art systems, processes and platforms.

What is ISO certification?

Certification demonstrates that a company’s products or services meet customer expectations and, in many industries, certification is a legal or contractual requirement.

The standards are developed by ISO, an independent, international organisation with a membership of 163 national standards bodies. It relies on external certification bodies to audit candidates and confirm their certification.

The standards are developed through a consensus process where experts from all over the world have input into the appropriate standards for their sector and reflect real-world considerations and experience.

Why is it important?

International Standards facilitate international trade and set benchmarks for how things work to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency. International Standards affect everything from food safety to technology, and from agriculture to healthcare.

Being able to demonstrate ISO certification tells other organisations that a business is trustworthy and competent.

How do you get certified?

Certification is a detailed process that can take months. It involves a comprehensive audit of the business’s processes to ensure they comply with the standards. After being certified, it’s important to maintain ongoing improvement.

Importantly for us, ISO standard certification isn’t just a one-off process. It reflects an underlying culture of excellence in everything we do.
