Mainmark is proud to celebrate Amy Williams’ appointment to the Australasian Railway Association’s (ARA) Rail Industry Executive Committee (RIEC), as the committee achieves equal gender representation for the first time.
Amy was welcomed alongside fellow incoming members at the final meeting of the outgoing committee’s term, hosted by Alstom. The meeting also recognised departing members for their contributions to the rail industry.
Her appointment comes at an important time for the rail supply chain, with the committee discussing key challenges and priorities for the coming term. These included procurement, investment, industry harmonisation, national product type approval, prequalification and greater visibility of the forward project pipeline.
Members also discussed the potential return of the Procurement Forum in 2027, following the success of this year’s event in Brisbane.
As the committee representing ARA’s supply chain members, RIEC provides an avenue for businesses to share their experiences, raise challenges and inform advocacy across the industry.
Mainmark supports the rail industry through ground improvement, void filling and re-levelling solutions for assets including station platforms, rail crossings and bridge relieving slabs. Our work helps address subsidence and weak ground conditions while minimising disruption to rail operations.
As a member of the ARA, Mainmark values the opportunity to contribute to the industry’s future. Amy’s appointment builds on this involvement, bringing Mainmark’s ground engineering perspective to discussions on the challenges and priorities shaping the rail supply chain.
We congratulate Amy and her fellow committee members on their appointments and this significant milestone for representation in rail industry leadership.
