JOG Computer-Controlled Grouting

JOG Computer-Controlled Grouting (or integrated computer grouting) is our unique, world-leading, computer controlled, multi-point cementitious grouting process used for level correction and stablisation of structures, slabs and infrastructure.

JOG grouting uses a unique process backed by over 20 years experience. The grout is a high-mobility cementitious mix, it does not affect ground water and has no detrimental effects on the environment. JOG provides many advantages:

  • Requires little or no excavation, only small injection holes
  • Creates little or no mess, noise or vibration
  • Quick and accurate to within a few millimetres.
  • Buildings can remain occupied during the re-levelling process
  • Uses strong inert cement grout

How it works:

Proprietary, high performance, low volume grout pumps deliver grout to a multitude of injection ports set up in injection circuits. Computers control the monitors, injecting via multiple ports a few seconds at a time, to gently raise the structure. Each computer can be programmed to control up to 128 injection ports at once, enabling lifting of very large areas or complex heavy structures. The non-invasive injection ports remain in place for the duration of the work.
The self-contained JOG batching plant (equipment, generator, materials and control centre) is housed within a container to simplify transport and minimise our onsite ‘footprint’. The batching plant is also demountable from the container when necessary to access restricted areas of buildings or infrastructure.

Grout setting times can be tightly controlled and varied from seconds to minutes, as required. This enables hydraulic forces to be targeted and applied in specific locations over large areas. The hydraulic forces are continuously monitored and controlled, to effectively ‘float’ the structure gradually and safely back to a defined level, with minimal differential stresses induced in the structure.

Monitoring via laser and computerised levels is continuous, with very fine increments of lift being communicated to our modular control centre by a network of robotic survey stations or by laser levels. This data enables our technicians to make very fine adjustments to the computer controlled pumping, to ensure minimal differential stresses and accuracy of the levelling. These quality assurance techniques help ensure voids are filled.

JOG has been used extensively to re-level structures suffering from settlement; from houses to flats, culverts to 12-storey buildings and with a record lift of 1300mm.

JOG technology has also been used to re-level 900mm and 1500mm diameter pipelines at depths of 6m below ground surface level, working from inside the pipes.
