3-Storey Home Unit Block Re-levelled
Summary
This three-storey home unit block in Auckland had subsided as much as 80mm in some sections. It appeared that a number of large trees on the corner of the site had contributed to the subsidence.
Mainmark re-supported and re-levelled the unit block and the adjacent paving with injection of expanding structural resins.
Objectives
The main objective was to raise and re-level the three-storey building without disturbing the residents. Secondary objectives were to strengthen the foundation ground and to re-level the pavement.
Solution
Working with a geotechnical report provided by a consultant to the Body Corporate, Mainmark applied Uretek Deep Injection and Uretek Deep Lifting with expanding structural resins to re-support and re-level the external wall footings. Ten external injection points were required.
Uretek Slab Lifting was used to re-level and re-support the slab flooring. This was carried out from 27 internal
injection points. The injection zones are shown on the site sketch.
