We have a great deal of experience, most notably in New Zealand, Japan, and other earthquake-prone countries. Our ground improvement and liquefaction mitigation solution has been formally recognised as a geotechnical innovation after four years in development. This innovative solution has undergone extensive trials and testing in Christchurch Red Zone.

Unlike traditional re-levelling approaches, we carry out earthquake remediation with little to no mess, noise or inconvenience. Our Teretek and JOG methods are precise, practical, and non-invasive — all with minimal disruptions to your home.
Teretek Resin Injection
Teretek is a unique solution that both re-levels your house and increases the ground strength.
Mainmark has developed Teretek for decades, working with international experts to test its effectiveness. The performance of Teretek has been successful across a wide range of conditions. This is also a sustainable solution as the resin injection doesn’t affect groundwater, soil quality, or local wildlife.
JOG Computer-Controlled Grouting
We also offer JOG, an award-winning technology for re-levelling and strengthening ground. This computer-controlled grouting is an advanced alternative to costly demolition or underpinning works. JOG works by using computer-controlled cement grout injection beneath large structures. This is a precise method for consolidating weak ground and gently lifting foundations.
In some cases, soils will have subsided away from the foundations, creating voids under the slab. We can fill these using either Terefil or Teretek, depending on the size of the void.
Re-levelling the Christchurch Art Gallery
During the Christchurch earthquakes of 2010 and 2011, the Christchurch Art Gallery suffered significant damage to its foundations, causing the 33,000 tonne building to sink.
Mainmark worked closely with the project’s engineering team to successfully re-support and re-level the 6,500 square metre foundations in just 52 days, without requiring excavation or the occupants and exhibits to vacate.
